top free and legal MP3s of 2008   

Here is the second annual "Fingertips Favorites" list, presenting the free and legal MP3s that were my absolute favorites of the year. As with the first go-around last year, you'll note there are two lists: one of my top 10 favorite free and legal MP3s of 2008, and, this year, one of my next 10 favorite free and legal MP3s of 2008. Note that this year there is an "honorable mention" category: this is for an MP3 that was free and legal when I featured it, but no longer is available that way. Doesn't seem right, somehow, to put it on the year-end list if it didn't even make it to the end of the year as a free and legal MP3.
