THE FINGERTIPS FLASHBACK
Online since 2003, Fingertips has, by 2008, featured hundreds of reviews of high-quality free and legal MP3s. (You are excused if you've missed a few of them along the way.) As I am routinely sweeping through the archives to find dead links, I keep bumping into some great lost songs that are sitting back there, still available legally and for free, just kind of minding their own business(es). (For better or worse, there are any number of MP3s that have been featured here that never really took off.) So I'm introducing the Fingertips Flashback--utilizing Outshouts technology--as a way of going back and saying, "Hey! This is still a great song! Somebody listen to it!" Or something like that.
This Outshouts widget to the right here will play the song for you, and the bonus is the song comes with an introductory comment attached. Said comment via yours truly. I'm not going to go nuts trying to describe the song in my intro, as I'll be providing a link below the widget to point you back to the original review in "This Week's Finds." I'm not sure what all I'll be saying, actually, but something will no doubt occur to me. And I'll keep it brief.

The Fingertips Flashback will be an evanescent feature: it will come, stay for a couple of weeks, and go, to be replaced by a new Flashback-ed song. Over time, I'll keep a list of the featured songs in the space below; the widget will only always offer the currently featured MP3.
